Hey what’s up guys it’s Zack back here with another blog, & today it’s about “my setup”, well I’m always on the go kinda person so my setup changes quite frequently. So without further ado, let’s dig deeper.
So, first things first, let’s start with the laptop, so I’ve been testing laptops for a long time & now I can say, I’m really enjoying the ZenBook from Asus. It has everything that a part time video/photo editor & blogger needs.
It’s powered by an Intel i9-8950HK processor with is really a beast, it’s a 6 core processor with 12 threads. Perfect for video/photo editing. The GPU is Nvidia’s GTX 1050Ti with 4GB of VRAM, perfect for a light session of Fortnite at 1080p, & I should admit it runs smoothly! The touchpad (track pad with a screen) is a hit/miss as I don’t find myself using it often. The only time I find myself using it is when I’m listening to music while writing a blog or something. But, it’s the perfect laptop for bloggers & travellers.
So the mouse & keyboard. I’m using the Logitech MX Master 2S wireless mouse, which is not a good mouse when you’re travelling but it’s THE MOST AMAZING mouse of all time & I gotta give Logitech credits for that
The keyboard I’ve been enjoying is the Logitech G613 mechanical keyboard with Logitech’s Romer G switches. I used to use a Keychron wireless keyboard, but when I saw these, I knew I had to get my hands on these & I’m loving them since.
The monitor I’ve been using since last year is a 4K one from LG & I must say, it’s way beyond what I expected it to be. I know a lotta tech bloggers & YouTubers use widescreen (Ultrawide) monitors for productivity purposes but I still prefer the 16:9 traditional monitors (I know, I’m a loser). But overall the panel is amazing!
The headphones & speakers are pretty average, I’d say; nothing fancy like them HD800s’ or something I like to keep it simple, the headphones are from Sennheiser though, they are their HD4.50BTNC (that was a mouthful), but they are the Noise Cancelling headphones & they sound amazing. Sennheiser makes a cheaper version of them too, but they don’t have Noise Cancelling, but both of them have excellent sound quality!
The speakers, ah, what can I say, they’re good for what they offer. Not too much base neither too treble. They’re very basic & they connect via bluetooth so can’t really complain.
